SEMA Arrives In Las Vegas With New Innovations

By Pete Allman

SEMA [Specialty Equipment Market Association] has over 2000 products and 2300 exhibiting companies displaying products in a million square feet of Convention space at The Las Vegas Convention Center. It all starts on November5TH-8TH.

The inspiration for car manufactures, SEMA has Ford displaying Project Yellow Jacket Mustang. The Ford Motor company is doing this in a joint effort with Vortech Supercharger, which is the first of the heavily customized vehicles that will help Ford's huge display. Ford's Mustang GT has been modified in cooperation with Air Power Group, the parent company of the high performance Vortech and Paxton Superchargers.

SEMA has also partnered with the U S Department of Commerce, importing 13 Ford Rangers T-6 to the United States, for members of SEMA to measure this particular vehicles endurance and hand ability. Ford Ranger T-6 is not sold in the United States.

Among past situations with non-official contractors, SEMA has protected it's members and exhibitors by not selling their exhibitor list, or content to anyone. This will prevent non contractors from getting the list from a public source such as Internet.

Attendees of the SEMA show will also be able to attend the Awards banquet and meet various celebrities. Jessi Combs of Velocity's Over Haulin, Lou Santiago, host of Car Fix, Big Daddy Don Garlet and his Electric Dragster, Mike Schultz, X Game Medalist, Tony Kanaan, 2013 Indie 500 winner, Jeff Gordan, Robbie Gordan, Brodie Stroud from Hot Rod TV and Rock My Rv, Courtney Hansen, TV personality are just a few of the many celebrities which be on hand for the show.
