Bearizona - A Treat For The Entire Family

By Peter Allman

bearizona_entrance_300Traveling to Flagstaff, Arizona, tourists can enjoy taking a train ride to the Grand Canyon in Williams to what is referred to as "ONE OF THE 7TH WONDERS OF THE WORLD". On their way there is the awe-inspiring historic wildlife park of Bearizona, in Williams, Arizona. Encompassing 163 acres, Bearizona offers tourists a North American wildlife park which allows visitors to drive into the wilderness and witness herd and pack life from the safety and comfort of a private vehicle. While enjoying the wildlife drive, patrons can also park their vehicles and enter a separate walk-thru park which is home to smaller animals and an exceptional bird show.

One of the unique experiences that was enjoyed during the walking tour was Christina Kwan, a United States National and World Amateur Boxing Champion having a special encounter with a baby bear cub. I, myself, found it quite therapeutic to witness this.

In a recent study, it showed that nature is a necessary part of a child's and adult's life , which is why Bearizona has become the destination to experience on the way to the Grand Canyon. While touring the park there, visitors can purchase all sorts souvenirs at the gift shop and enjoy the very popular barbecue chicken sandwiches at the snack shop.

bearizona_400Sean Casey, the Chief Executive Officer of Bearizona stated his Mission message to our group, "Our mission is to promote innovation through memorable and educational encounters with North American wildlife in a natural environment."

The vision of Bearizona Wildlife Park is to connect visitors to wildlife and the land in which they inhabit, while using the best practices for economic, environmental and social sustainability. For more information visit or call 928-635-2289.
